Western Medicine Isn’t Answering All Your Questions— Here’s Why

When you experience an issue and go to a doctor or specialist, you might ask things like: “I have x,y,z problem, and nothing I’ve tried so far has worked… What do you think is wrong? How do I fix this? What can I do?”

And what do you usually hear? You’ve probably heard some things like this…

“It’s XYZ diagnosis. There’s no way to cure that, you’re just going to have to manage it” → this is usually followed with a prescription 

“We ran some tests and everything looks normal, it’s probably inflammation.”

→ inflammation isn’t a cause, it’s an effect

• “It could just be in your head.”

→ followed with a referral to talk to a counselor or psychiatrist 

• And so many other things that divert from finding an actual solution or being taken seriously…

Does this sound familiar?

If you’ve struggled with any chronic health issue, I’m sure it does.

Going to the doctor is never fun. But it’s even worse when the doctor dismisses what you’re going through or gives you a suggestion that you know is just a bandaid and won’t actually help you heal.  

They don’t take into consideration your emotional or mental health, your lifestyle, environmental toxins, or the non-physical factors that impact your health and ability to heal.

If optimal health and well-being is your goal, this system and its doctors will only keep you trapped. 

Unfortunately, this is one of the primary reasons why the western healthcare system is beyond broken.

It doesn’t take into consideration an entire population of people who want to actually heal, not merely manage symptoms. 

The western healthcare system is designed to sell you a solution that will keep your symptoms managed… but won’t actually heal you— because it flat out isn’t designed to heal you. And worse yet, it’s just going to make your healing journey even harder and longer than it needs to be. 

If you want to heal so you can look and feel your best, you’ll never find what you’re looking for if you keep searching for it inside the western healthcare system.

And although the temporary metaphorical or physical bandaid is helpful to an extent, wouldn’t it be better if you could just heal instead of simply managing?

After all, you were born to heal. 

Healing means identifying the root causes of whatever has you trapped in less than optimal health. And working with a practitioner who isn’t trained to help you heal won’t get you to the root cause of your issues.

How do I know? Because I used to be one of them. I worked inside the western healthcare system for over 15 years. Then I worked with health insurance companies. 

I know exactly how broken this system is. 

Having a PhD in chronic health means I was once trained by that system, and I taught inside of medical schools. I know for a fact that doctors are trained to diagnose and prescribe, not heal.

But when life took an unexpected turn and I had a near death experience, I knew that there was more than just what I was being taught.

After my near death experience I spent over a decade battling physical, mental, and emotional chronic illness. I became that girl – bouncing from doctor to doctor, searching for answers.

All I wanted was to heal and be healthy – and all I got were prescriptions and suggestions to “manage” my symptoms. 

I wasn’t being heard. I was looking for something more. If I was, I knew so many other women were searching for more too. 

No one would talk to me about my root causes. No one would bridge the gap and talk to me about both sides of the healing equation- the physical and the non-physical (or energetic). 

I wanted to heal from the inside out so I could transform – mind, body, and spirit. I couldn’t find anyone to support me.

So I became that practitioner. And I healed myself first.

Then I opened my practice, and I’ve helped dozens of women do the same. 

My goal is to help you identify the root causes of your issues and create a roadmap to heal. I help my clients find and follow the path that will help them heal. This is one that will actually lead to results, instead of just slapping a bandaid over it and calling it a day or diminishing the importance of what my clients are going through.
