Let’s talk about healing acne naturally. I know there are so many of you out there right now who are dealing with acne. I hope this blog post will empower you today with the knowledge of the true root cause of acne along with some strategies and tips for healing acne naturally.
“Maskne” has become a new common term that’s recently been added to the English language to describe the acne outbreaks people are experiencing because of frequent and prolonged mask wearing during the pandemic. While masks certainly aren’t the cause of the acne, they’ve been a BIG trigger that’s led to a weakened immune system, exacerbating the true root cause of acne in the body.
I’ve helped many clients over the years with healing acne naturally. Acne is one of the most common physical health issues my clients come to me with concerns over. It’s such an upsetting symptom for people of any age to experience. It comes with physical discomfort, but often people deal with emotional pain and stress too. Acne can leave you feeling self-conscious and less confident.
On my own healing journey, I struggled with acne for many years before healing acne naturally. As a teenager, I can vividly remember how mortified I felt going to school with acne on my face and body. I used to stare in the mirror before school in the morning in junior high scrutinizing my face, trying to figure out how to cover up all the pimples, until my parents would yell at me to hurry up so I didn’t miss the bus. I was so embarrassed and felt so ugly. I suffered silently. I sat in classes praying other kids weren’t noticing and staring at my face. I’m sure many people reading this can relate in some way.
Of course, I tried EVERY prescription and over the counter product throughout the years to help with my acne. I went to a dermatologist who prescribed me medicine that dried my skin so severely I felt and looked like a scaly lizard. My skin would get so dry it would crack and bleed. I was scared to put lotions on my face, worried they’d make me break out more.
I used those prescriptions with harsh chemicals for years until Proactiv came onto the market. Anyone else remember that stuff? When I saw the infomercial on TV one night, I begged my Dad to let me order it. I prepared a dissertation defense in my head to explain to my Dad why I needed this. I passed my defense with flying colors.
I was so excited for it to arrive in the mail I checked every day until it showed up. I was convinced Proactiv was my miracle cure. I used it for years while I was in college, so convinced it was the only way to keep my breakouts at bay.
When a product bleaches your clothes, your pillow cases, pretty much everything it touches-it’s probably NOT the safest thing for your body or a pathway to healing acne naturally. Finally exhausted with ruining my clothes and on my own journey to become a doctor, I started thinking more deeply.
What were these prescriptions and products really doing? Were they targeting whatever was causing my acne? Were they a way to healing acne naturally? Or were they just suppressing a symptom I was experiencing on the surface?
These were important questions I started asking. A few years later, as I was becoming an expert in identifying the root causes of chronic illness, I began healing acne naturally when I learned the true root cause. Today I do not have breakouts and I do not suffer with acne. I’ve guided countless clients to healing acne naturally as well.
Let’s talk about what does and does NOT cause acne, then I’ll share some of my best tips on healing acne naturally.
The truth is that during the time of menstruation, 80% of your immune system shifts its entire focus directly to the reproductive system. This means only 20% of the immune system is left behind to work on fighting and healing any other health issues, including acne. This is why symptoms like acne, cramps, migraines, etc. tend to creep up around that time of month for many women.
Acne is caused by at least one strain (from over 50 groups) of Streptococcus bacteria that is living in your liver and lymphatic system. There are lymphatic channels all over the body, which is why you can experience acne in so many places like the face, arms, chest, back, shoulders, neck, armpits, legs, groin, etc.
Chances are if you have acne, you’ve had a Strep infection at least once when you were a child or at some point in your life. This does not mean that if you have a Strep throat infection you’ll have acne. Acne occurs once Streptococcus bacteria gets a chance to make itself a long-term home inside your body. How does this happen? It happens after, and often years after, some type of Strep related infection such as strep throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, and tonsillitis. There’s a lot more we can talk about here, but I want you to have a basic understanding of the true root cause of acne today. Let’s dive into healing acne naturally.
When it comes to healing acne naturally, it’s important to empower you with what to DO and what NOT to do. With this knowledge and these tips, you’ll be ready to not only heal acne naturally, but you’ll be able to prevent it too.
Eggs- these are the ALL-TIME favorite food of Streptococcus. They LOVE EGGS. It is literally used in a laboratory setting to grow Streptococcus bacteria-because it’s that effective. I’ve witnessed it. This is the number ONE thing to avoid if you have acne.
Gluten- feeds Streptococcus.Corn and corn products- feed Streptococcus.
Canola oil- feeds Streptococcus.Dairy- feeds Streptococcus, which will look for old deposits of dairy left in the liver and other parts of the body months after dairy has been eliminated. By avoiding dairy over an extended period, these old deposits can also be rid from the body.
There are many foods for healing acne naturally. As a general tip, the more fresh fruits and veggies you eat, the more power you’ll have to lower the levels of Streptococcus in your body.
Supplements to help strengthen the immune system are important for healing acne naturally. It’s also important to take a high-quality supplement, as many out there on the market are full of additives and are not truly helpful at all. There are a lot of great supplements to support healing acne naturally, here are my top recommendations along with a link to a high-quality product.
Wondering what dose of these supplements to take for healing acne naturally? I design comprehensive plans and customized healing regimes for each of my clients to guide them to heal themselves naturally from acne and any physical, mental, and/or emotional health issues they’re dealing with.
